NYC -6º Cold Bite of the Big Apple

In January 2011, Melissa Hobbs fulfilled a long-held dream to visit New York City. She went with an express intention; to photograph the ‘essence of New York’.

This exhibition contains a selection of 11 black and white photographs which express Melissa’s first-hand view of a truly iconic city in the snow. Alongside her more considered, large- format works, the triptych photos titled A Cold Snap are a series of Smartphone shots.
