Contesting Identities: photography, narrative and the self
University of Ballarat (Arts Academy)
Camp Street, Ballarat
Saturday 31 August 2013, 9.00am to 5.00pm

Photography Studies College together with Ballarat International Foto Biennale are delighted to present a one day symposium examining ideas surrounding photographic and literary representations of selfhood and constructions of identity.

We are pleased to announce that our two keynote speakers on the day will be Anne O'Hehir, Assistant Curator of Photography at the National Gallery of Australia and Jill Orr, renowned international performance artist based in Australia.

A range of papers and creative projects will be presented during the day from researchers, postgraduates and creative practitioners working across all aspects of the arts. We look forward to this inaugural event.
