Read about Vesna's journey and look at her her award winning work below:

Growing up I was always the creative one in the family, all I ever did as a child was draw and paint, but it wasn’t until I was 14 that I took up photography. Almost every weekend I had my friends come over and we would think of some sort of photoshoot to do. I also had an interest in makeup, so I’d not only photograph them, but I’d transform them into whatever character I wanted them to be. The whole process was one big creation for me, I created the character and then I would create a photograph to tell this characters story.

Throughout high-school I found myself giving the majority of my focus to my art classes, I knew that I would go further into studying something art based; it was in year 10 that it became obvious to me that photography was where I was headed.

The one word I can definitely put to describe my journey at PSC is growth. As each semester passes, you realise just how much your work has changed, and not just your work, but also you as a person. You learn so many things, from how to express yourself clearly, how to tell a story, how to engage. It is a bumpy ride, you will have extreme highs and you will have extreme lows, but with each necessary bump you hit, it will pass just as quick as it approached; and it is that bump that will teach you just how easily you can overcome things, just how quickly things pass and just how easily you can grow. So my advice is, stick through it, enjoy it, and if you truly know in your heart that this is your passion, then you will never let anything get it the way of your dreams.
