Photography Studies College is proud to be a part of The Digital Show, Australia’s largest tech event, this year being held in Melbourne at The Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 16th - 18th October. The Digital Show is the capital of information for the photography industry, hosting a variety of expert events, workshops, demonstrations, product suppliers and an endless range of industry representatives on exhibit. As in previous shows, PSC has been asked to put together an extensive exhibition of student work which will be display at the show. We will also be at stand 18 with plenty of information on all of our exciting new course options including Video for Photographers and a new Lightroom online course, both commencing October/November.
Many of our students are volunteering behind the scenes for the Digital Show whilst others have submitted their work to the Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPAs), which are coinciding with the show. Held annually by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, the APPA’s (also known as the Canon AIPP awards) are the most prestigious photography awards ceremony in Australia, with hundreds of professional photographers competing for recognition amongst the best in the field. The most prized title that entrants can win is the Professional Photographer of the Year award. Since our students have done exceptionally well in the AIPP Victorian Student Photographer of the Year awards held earlier this year, we are excited to see how they go in the national competition and are anticipating some great results! Those who attend The Digital Show can either watch or listen to the judging of the APPAs event live and see the exhibition of winning works.
Stay tuned to o ur social channels, to hear live updates about the show. We look forward to seeing all of our industry friends, students and graduates at the show and hope that you too can come by and visit us in the PSC hub at Stand 18, inside the Melbourne Exhibition Centre!
