STUDENT: Nikki Jackson, Second Year Part Time
ASSIGNMENT: Assessment: Creating mood with colour
COMMENT: I used this image as part of my mood assignment as I liked how the colours worked together with the scenery to create a metaphor for how I see life. Beautiful calming cool blues which is how I visualise the present, leading to down the road to the the warmer rich oranges and reds of the horizon, evoking more powerful emotions in me including uncertainty, passion and a little fear.. of the unknown. I enjoy the use of the blurred focus to represent the haziness of life but the positioning of the street lights still direct me down a relatively straight path.
Originally this image was to be used conceptually as part of my Sem B Personal Style folio but I had another concept I felt more passionate about at the time so this will continue to be a work in progress and I look forward to developing it further over the next year.
