COMMENT: I was inspired to take the photograph because the weathered face of a departed child’s doll is staring down the road of abandonment. The town, the people and the houses have blown into the red dust leaving the skeletons of a once vibrant life. It is the story of abandonment; of disappearing towns and changing ways of life in rural Australia.
