Student Workshop with Alkira Secondary College

Last Friday PSC held another successful school workshop! We've had many school groups in throughout the year from schools such as Alkira Secondary College in Cranbourne North and Nossal High School in Berwick.

Year 10 Photography Students from Alkira Secondary College

Led by course director Daniel Boetker-Smith and a few current second-year students, the workshop gave each participant the opportunity to choose an image from a selection of portrait photographs that were shortlisted for the recent Bowness Photography Prize and emulate the style through their own photographic vision.

After shooting with their smartphones in the Melbourne CBD, students were encouraged to post their images to Instagram, tagging the photographer that inspired their image. As always, we were very pleased to see some fantastic results from the workshop!

Our school workshops offer secondary students in years 10 to 12 a great insight into the courses offered by PSC as a pathway to a successful and rewarding career in photography. To book a school workshop, contact PSC today!
