"In the best memorializing photobooks, personal memories tend to coalesce with cultural memories. This is what good photographers do." – Martin Parr

bound is an exhibition that showcases the culmination of second year studies at Photography Studies College, Melbourne, via hand-made photobooks and fine-art exhibition prints. The bespoke publications featured in bound consider a diverse range of themes and concepts, including environmental contention, ideas associated with home and belonging, the nature of commitment and the de/materialisation of memory. Gallery visitors will be invited to leaf through the photobooks and admire a selection of prints relating to each book that adorn the walls.

bound is supported by and presented at Hillvale gallery. The project is initiated by students with staff support and the fine-art prints are produced by Peter Hatzipavlis at the Print Shop at Photography Studies College, Melbourne.
