Great Ocean Road Project with Alumni Chris Hopkins

This week, we were thrilled to welcome Chris Hopkins, a renowned photojournalist and PSC alumni, to our campus. Chris dedicated his time to review student work and provided invaluable feedback to our second-year Bachelor students on their captivating Great Ocean Road projects.

These projects are a collaboration between Australia's top photography students and the residents of the Great Ocean Road. Together, they aim to amplify the voices of the community, raise awareness about the social and environmental challenges they have encountered, and tell their powerful stories.

The Great Ocean Road project is an industry-focused endeavour, initiated in response to a compelling brief from the client, Great Ocean Road Futures. We are incredibly grateful for their support and the opportunity it has provided our students to experience hands-on and real-world projects.

During their exploration and documentation, the students delved into various themes, one of which was the proposed seismic blasting off the Otway basin. This particular topic highlights the pressing environmental concerns faced by the community.

We are immensely proud of our students and their dedication to this project. Through their vision, these individuals are capturing the essence of the Great Ocean Road and are bringing attention to the challenges the local community faces. We cannot wait to see the outcome of this project and the impact they create through their photography.
