Facilitated by CCP’s curator Jack Willet and photographer Jo Duck, this four-day event surveys the contemporary landscape of fashion photographers — contextualising a group of unique and yet quintessential creative voices within the broader industry.
Jo is a successful commercial photographer who has been published in fashion's most elite magazines such as Harper's Bazaar and GQ – and worked in London, New York, and L.A.
Her advice to students who want to forge a career in the fashion industry is, "I think you have to really stay motivated as it can often feel like you’re not getting anywhere. But if you keep producing work you’re proud of, that’s staying true to your voice and style (not imitating other people's work), the right people will eventually take notice!"
Exhibition dates: 8 – 11 July 2021
Gallery Hours: Wednesday—Sunday, 11am—5pm
Venue: CCP, 404 George St, Fitzroy, Vic 3065
