Save the date for an exciting event that is coming up at the Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh). The highly anticipated Bowness Prize exhibition will be opening on Thursday 21 September.

What makes this exhibition even more special is that three of our talented Master of Arts Photography past and current students have been shortlisted for the prestigious Bowness Photography Prize. We are incredibly proud of Yask Desai, Tom Goldner, and Kelvin Lau for this remarkable achievement, and their exceptional images will be on display for all to see.

The Bowness Prize is widely regarded as one of Australia’s most important photography prizes, showcasing the best of the best in the industry. It is such an achievement for our students and alumni to be recognized in this way, and we couldn't be happier for them.

To all those who have been shortlisted, we wish you the best of luck! The winner announcement will take place on Thursday 28 September.

Our next intake for the Master of Arts Photography course will commence on 26 February 2024. Applications are open now. Be a part of the conversation and join us at the Home of Photography Education.
