Entries for the prestigious 2012 Walkley Young Australian Journalist of the Year Awards are now open!

The Walkley Young Australian Journalist of the Year Awards recognise and reward emerging young Australian journalists and details of the 2012 Awards have been announced by the Walkley Foundation and the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance.

Who can apply? The awards are open to ALL Australian journalists aged 26 and under (on March 16, 2012), whether you’re employed full-time or freelance.

Are you in your final year at uni? You can enter too! But your work must have been published or broadcast through Australian media outlets between March 16, 2011 and Marc

The deadline for entries is 5pm Friday 16 March 2012.
