We are excited to be hosting The Library Collection at PSC as part of the Photobook Melbourne Festival from the 12-22 February.
The Library Collection is a collection of contemporary photographic publications based in Dublin, Ireland, and is part of an organisation called Photo Ireland. This is the first time this amazing collection of books will be seen in Australia.
Started in 2011 by Claudia Nir and Angel Luis Gonzalez the collection offers the public an on-going display of the latest photobooks, magazines, and zines, either self-published or produced by independent publishing companies, and well-established, large publishing houses.
In Melbourne, The Library Project will be showcasing books from Arles Photo Festival, Paris Photo, and Kassel fotofestival, as well as a specially curated selection of Irish photobooks. This significant collection will be on display near the PSC reception from 12-6pm everyday during the festival and Angel Luis Gonzalez will be doing a short talk about The Library Collection and Photo Ireland at 11.30am on Friday 13 February at PSC.
