After completing fours years of her Advanced Diploma in Photography, Adrianne now plans to focus on kickstarting her side business QED Photography, which carries the message of her father's life motto: 'Quietly Ever Determined'. During the months of December and January, Adrianne was one of the two students chosen for an internship with The Age. Along with Daniel Pockett, her name was put forward by Bill Bachman (photojournalism teacher) for the opportunity, where her work over the years was considered by the picture editor of the news publication.
The highlight of the internship for Adrianne was having her work printed and published. It gave her the chance to photograph subjects that she wouldn't usually capture in her own photography, such restaurants and food. "The variety the internship gave me, was a fantastic experience," she says while reflecting on how the past two months gave her an insight into the photojournalism industry in Melbourne.
Adrianne, who's also a full time science and biology teacher, hopes to eventually teach photography. We were delighted to have Adrianne share her journey with us and wish her all the best for her future ventures. PSC will definitely keep you updated with Adrianne's upcoming achievements.
