Taylor on The Benefits of Joining our Bachelor Pathway Program

Taylor Ferne Morris graduated with her Advanced Diploma in 2013 and has been winning numerous awards internationally, such as the Top prize in Studio Photography at the Your Move Exhibition/Awards (2015)(USA), 5th Place overall at The International Loupe Awards. ‘Illustrative category’ (2012) as well as silver awards at this international competition and at the Australian Institute of Professional Photography in the same year. Taylor's work has been featured in publications such as Dance Magazine (New York), Dance Australia, Fashion Journal, Yen Magazine, Home Living and Home Lifestyle. After travelling to New York for various professional assignments, in 2015 Taylor decided to come back to PSC to enrol in our Bachelor Pathway Program, to further enhance her skills while getting a more comprehensive qualification, which is something she realised she needed after working in the industry.

Astres Noirs by Teacher Katrin Koenning is Released

As most of you know, our very talented teacher and coordinator Katrin Koenning is touring Europe, having visited Germany and is now making her way to France to attend the launch of her first book, 'ASTRES NOIRS' (in collaboration with Bangladeshi photographer Sarker Protick) at Le Bal in Paris and at the Les Rencontres d'Arles (the biggest photography festival in the world).

3rd Year Student Zia Atahi Heads to Bogor, Indonesia

3rd year student Zia Atahi will be travelling to Bogor, Indonesia from June 19 to conduct a photography workshop with a class of 17 at the Cipayung Refugee Educational Centre. The  centre offers a community of learning for children, women and mixed groups of those who originally come from the regions of Iraq and Afghanistan. Only formed two months ago, the class for photography is one that has raised a lot of interest from the community. Unfortunately, there are only 4 cameras to be shared between amongst such a large group and this is reason why we want to help raise awareness about this important centre.

April Highlights at the PrintShop @PSC

April has definitely been an eventful month, with numerous student activities and international competitions taking place. We've had our students win major prizes at the AIPP Victorian State Awards, graduate Emma McEvoy's magical 'Sand Castles' exhibition, teacher Katrin Koenning's showcase at the Australian Centre for Photography, as well as our first ever secondary school collaborative-workshop session! The PrintShop @PSC has been equally if not more busy, with a stream of professional photographers visiting Peter, in order to print their award-worthy photographs. Elma Gradascevic's Plans for Photography

Recently completing her Advanced Diploma (art major) in December 2015, Elma Gradascevic keeps herself busy with photography, after PSC. Working in the HR industry for more than 20 years, Elma decided to learn photography part time so that she had a creative outlet that she could express herself with. Essentially, she wanted a life change that would make her more fulfilled.
